Which maps apps are supported?
The encoded geo: URI opens Google Maps on Android and Apple Maps on iOS by default. Other apps can register handlers.
How precise are the coordinates?
Up to 6 decimal places. That gives roughly 0.1 m precision, well below what consumer GPS reports.
Can I share a place by name instead of coordinates?
No. The QR code stores latitude and longitude only. Use a URL QR code with a Google Maps link if you need a named place.
